Humidity, pressure and time are the three main conditions for ironing the adhesive lining: the temperature, pressure and time during ironing mainly depend on the type and performance of the hot melt adhesive on the adhesive lining, among which the bonding temperature is the primary condition. The adhesive lining is ironed and pressed on the fabric, and the adhesive is required to be strong, not peeled, and not wrinkled.
This depends not only on the matching and selection of the adhesive lining and the clothing material, but also on correctly grasping the relationship between the melting point of the adhesive lining, the bonding temperature and the pressing temperature of the pressing equipment (iron, bonding machine).
The general relationship of the three temperatures is: the ironing temperature of the ironing appliance is higher than the bonding temperature, and the bonding temperature is higher than the melting temperature of the lining.
When starting to iron the adhesive lining, the ironing temperature is lower than the melting point of the adhesive lining melt, and no adhesion occurs; when the temperature of the ironing surface of the ironing appliance reaches the melting point of the melt, adhesion begins; as the temperature and pressure increase When the temperature of the hot pressing surface reaches the bonding temperature of the adhesive lining, the bonding fastness reaches a good value; if the temperature continues to rise beyond the bonding temperature range, the bonding fastness will no longer increase. It even causes some hot melt adhesives to ooze out of the cloth surface and no longer play a role in bonding, but instead reduces the bonding fastness and affects the bonding quality. Therefore, the ironing temperature of the ironing equipment is controlled within the bonding temperature range.
